Wink

Photos was taken with Canon eos 50d.

With the help of a $15 eBay tripod stand :)

The pics with the Mooses by the lakes was also where I camp. There was at least 6 moose around that lake.
I couldn't sleep for an hour. Just thinking they might attack me ! Hahah.

Yeah that was dddirtty !!. But could have been way worse. It's so nice. Cause when I was on the Dalton. All the gravel section was dry. And when I hit paved section road, it rained.

Great report, great pictures.

I was up there on a tour about the same time of your trip. We rode a lot of the same roads.

You're a brave man for taking that sport bike up the Dalton, and a smart man for not going beyond Coldfoot. Although its been done, I am not sure it would have been too much fun. We ran the Dalton in 2009 with almost perfect weather, on a KTM and a GS. It wasnt easy in places.

Great story and pics. You lived in AK long?

Nice RR. You certainly have the spirit of adventure. I didn't see any wildlife on the Dalton when we rode it in July. You could have ridden your sport bike all the way up when we did it, as the conditions were pretty dry. There was nothing north of Coldfoot any worse than what you rode. Given the current road conditions it was pretty cool you made it up as far as you did. Great job!

Hey nuttynu, thanks for the messages on our Facebook site and thread! What a coincidence, I just read your Alaska report a day before you posted. When I clicked on your FB link, that's when I recognized you! :)

That's crazy doing the Dalton on that bike and especially those tires! Thank god you didn't run into to much mud!
