indeed, that holster is slow. It only appears fast because of the action needed to put the firearm in battery. My holsters I use on the range and for carry are a lot faster than that. Even the retention holster.

Most pro shooters in those kind of disciplines are very fast with many different types of holsters and guns. Most shoot multiple disciplines too in comp.

I imagine this holster is in response to some commitee/town board that forbids their police force from carrying with a round chambered.
Might as well just give them a club instead
