Those dates work for me... can someone point me to the "sign up" site? Or do we just go
reserve a site/space at Arrowhead?

Hey,
You can register and reserve your spot for camping ........HERE......

If you want to tent camp that is included in the $90 for the 9th and 10th of August and you don't have to do anything else other than register.

Any additional tent camping days just call arrowhead point and they can help you out.

Giant Loop makes a really good product. I have a set of their original saddle bags on my 450 and I want to get a set of their new bags but the old ones just won't wear out....believe me I have tried to waste them but they keep on going.

LOL We have really been trying to make this a memorable event. A ton of sponsors have been really generous and I hope people can walk away with some cool stuff. Free shuttle to drink whiskey, live music and tons of free stuff. If you have not registered you better get with it

So Wolfman agreed to be a Westfest Sponsor when I first announced we would be doing Westfest in 2012 and I wanted to make sure a great local Denver company got some props later in the thread too.

I finally got up to Wolfman and met with Eric and he gave me all kinds of cool stuff for the raffle and their new shop is pretty amazing. I had not been in there before and the show room is really cool So for the raffle Eric hooked us up with:

A Large Expedition Dry Duffle

Medium Dry Duffle

2 Tool Rolls

Wolfman Reflective Belt

and a few T-Shirts

Thanks Eric!

Dirt route; Canon City to West Fest

Just thought I'd share this route again; here's a gpx file of a dirt route from Canon City to Buena Vista. I made this a few years ago for the last BV West Fest; If you are coming from the east, and want to get on dirt as soon as you get to the mountains, this is a very nice, scenic dirt route, suitable for any dual sport/ Adventure bike.

Speaking of routes...I stopped by the store today and found that Latitude 40 has updated the Crested Butte/Taylor Park maps! You need to watch out though because they may still have outdated ones on the shelf (the REI I was at did). You want the 3rd edition with copyright of 2013. The 2010 one will NOT have all the relatively recent closures on them and there are quite a few.

Another note for those unfamiliar with the area...if you're riding singletrack I suggest you get the map mentioned above (its purple) instead of the Crested Butte/Aspen/Gunnison map which is light blue. I find the latter covers too big of an area, so detail is lost.

BUT....maybe if you're planning some big rides...or maybe some dual sporting, you'll want the big map. You decide.

The best news is both are updated. The light blue one was done last year I believe.

Quick question: What if you have a small RV that does not require hookups (ie a small pop-up), does that need to be reserved as an RV or could it just be a camp site?

I suppose i could call Arrowhead but thought to ask here too. thanks!

Hey, sorry we cant let RV's in the tent area. The biggest reason is that it would not take a whole lot of campers and tow vehicles to take up a considerable amount of space, which would really limit how many people could attend and tent camp ( Also I dont think arrowhead will allow RVs up the hill. It is really, really steep!!).

I would call arrowhead point and talk with them and see if there are any other options besides full hook ups. I thought they had a few basic spots with no hook up that were cheaper then the full RV spaces.

Thanks,
ben

Dave good to know, thanks for the update. Anyone riding Taylor should pick up that map. It will make getting around the area so much easier
