Please dont talk about that horrible place! haha

I will accept those beers. Money has been coming out of my pocket like lettuce out of a salad shooter trying to get back to the US. Mostly flight change fees and crappy internet booking companies.

I think this trip has put a loudly ticking clock on y time in AK!! It will always be there. Looking to work abroad!!! I hope.

Its easy to get stuck at home especially in a home like AK.

Colombia is truly a special place all the way around!

Today has been a long hard day but I think all major hurdles have been overcome. Hope to get a post up tomorrow but I have a lot of logistics ahead of me.

The Ying and Yang of the road. Yesterday still conquers all!! haha

Thinking my bike and the Military C-130 for photo/stunt of the year!!! haha

I've been silently following your report. I caught up with it after you had left my native Medellin. I got on those C-130s several times during my service in the Colombian Army. Adventures need to come to an end and South America, much like Alaska, will always be there, as well as Colombians ready to welcome with open arms anybody ready to live and enjoy the culture and the place.

Amazing adventure and great ride report

German sent me an email a day or two after my big plane ride. I was very happy to hear from him. We had great conversation while I was hanging at the airport and he is a very good guy! He also sent me this picture that I was stoked about b/c I didn't have one of him and I.

I also did not mention that as soon as I took my bike off the C-130 it had a very difficult time going into 2nd gear. It seemed to get worse as the day went on. At times it would not go into 2nd at all. I could not skip 2nd and go to 3rd. The trick seemed to be just keep lots of pressure up until it finally caught and went into 2nd. This made me pretty nervous. I had a little chat with the bike let her know I just needed less than 600k out of her! I also dont think that it has anything to do with the plane ride, just coincidental.

I made great time from Armenia to Soacha. It was also a great ride with wonderful curves. No pics because I was thinking I could make it to the airport by noon. Soacha took care of that dream. It has to be one of the most unpleasant places that I have driven through. Road construction on top of more construction. That took over an hour to get through.

Then I had a very hard time finding the Lyn Cargo office. That took over another hour. I had put a lot of hope in the day and getting the bike processed. I pushed hard and just ate some little snacks I had in my pocket. It was a little after 3 when we started to process the bike and I was struggling due to the very frustrating day and no food.

Here I am doing a re-pack at the airport. Total yard sale! I got lost of funny looks.

Saying bike to the bike.

Actually I will see it again to finish up the processing. Only the police inspection left and then I am off to catch my flight to Miami at about 1.

Here I am in my hotel room near the airport.

I savored my last Colombian beer!

Almost private C-130 haha.

Thought a badass stunt like that would spike my RR views but for some reason people are still not catching on.

I will be back sooner than later and be giving you a call for a beer when I am in Medellin again.

Just curious are you hiring or know of any jobs for gringos in Medellin? haha

Thanks for following

I actually live in South Carolina but if you actually want to work in Medellin, the best way would be to get a certification in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Set to work around the world. That's what my brother in law did

Thanks Mark.

Your RR will help me pass some of the days back in the real world. Keep it coming while I work to feed the need.
