Apologies that this is slightly off topic, but I have a question about the production of brand new air cooled DT's.
I am currently riding RtW (in South America right now) and I keep on seeing brand new air cooled DT's. Not just 125's but also 175's. As far as I remember, they stopped importing these into the UK in the early 90's with the launch of the liquid cooled DT125R?? Also we stopped getting the 175 well before then.. Did Yamaha Japan just keep on making the air cooled models for Central and South American export only?? It's been on my mind a lot, this thread just prompted me to ask the question. Sorry to deviate. Back on topic, as these bikes are so plentiful (and cheap) down here it could be a good business for someone to fill up a container load with them and punt on the parts to the rest of the world?!

Australia got the Air cooled DT175 up till 2006
Wiki says the DT125(aircooled) were made till 2008 but we(Australia) didn't get them after about 1990 i think
