Turkey Creek to Crown King Saturday the 17th

Big E & I are riding up Turkey Creek to Crown King for lunch & back.
Staging off Bumble Bee about a mile past the pavement on the left. Kickstands up by 9:30. This is scenic B ride best done on a 650 or smaller unless you're KTMser, YBracing , TeamTaz, Reidy008 or Yardstick. Come join us

Sorry Bob, yes you could probably make it on a Goldwing. It would be destroyed on the other side, but I believe you could make it

Still fighting the flu, will decide in the morning. I would bring the 500. After you get to the crown king road by Desoto mine rd. will you go up the main road to C.K. or take Desoto mine road, or something else?

From Phoenix take hwy 17 north past Black Canyon City. Bumble Bee road is the 2nd exit past the Rock Springs exit. Turn left (only way to go) follow the paved road until it turns to dirt then about 1/2 mile on the left you will see where we stage.

Well crap

I didn't make the short list so I am going to go work and see if I can save up some money to go do the rider training class.

Training is good. I would have put you ahead of me on that list so maybe we can train together.

You could definitely pedal an inappropriate motorcycle through there too with the exception that this is a Saturday ride & we all know you have to work (golf is work, right?) on Saturday...

I would much rather ride my small bike through some of the spots on Turkey Creek than battle the big bike. I was just funning with you. I know I get shunned by the Saturday guys. I am learning to deal with it.

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures from this one as that short little canyon stretch used to be one of my favorite "shortcuts." It will be interesting to see how much of the road is still intact after the floods.
