/5 Foot peg question

Can you use the "Round Rubber" foot peg inserts on /7 "Square Rubber" foot pegs metal base? Or do you have to replace the entire foot peg assembly?

My /7 pegs are hexagonal, as are the round /5 footpeg rubbers that I got for my home made rearsets.
In other words, /5 rubbers will fit /7 pegs.

Beware of poorly made aftermarket foot pegs. I bought a set of square cheaper "repro" pegs off EBay a couple years ago and they proceeded to fall apart in a very timely manner.
