Wasn't going to go, but my boss invited me to go with him and another mutual friend. Pretty normal stuff at the show.
A cop locked up the tranny on his bike along Ocean Blvd. right in front of me. He was doing about 10 mph, I heard some tranny-sounding noises, and he was stopped, not rolling that cruiser anywhere. There are some tent cities down by the LA river next to the 710. I'm sure there's room for one more. Company could be interesting... ![]() If you're going early in the morning, stop by Long Beach BMW. They're serving free breakfast from 7-9. I'll probably fire up the Husky and head up there.

I went tonight.
The Service Pavilion wasn't there, the friend I went with wanted an Arai but ended up buying a Shoei X 12 instead. I wanted a new shield for my Arai, and one other gent we were talking to wanted a new Arai also, so there's at least $1400 in sales they missed out on... Lots of neat stuff, ran into a few peeps, picked up some new Lee Parks gloves, a couple of Rok Straps, a digital Roadgear tire gauge, a Butler map of Northern California, and 2 Go Cruise cruise controls. There is a sweet Triumph chopper there that's worth finding. Super sweet pipes. You'll know it when you see it. PS The Outback steakhouse across the street SUCKS.

I was outta there by 8 and I'm still amazed by the lack of people. It was my 1st Friday p.m. attendance, I usually go on Sat a.m.. The Mrs. was with me on this show, we had some OK food across at Islands, even better beers. |
