What do you all use to clean scuffs on helmets?
Have several gloss black helmets that have for lack of a better term "paint scuffs". It appears to be transfer from something else onto the helmet and not damage/scuff/gouges in the helmet paint/clearcoat itself. My first thought is something like a rubbing compound or a solvent, but dont know what level will take clean without damaging the helmets finish. Any suggestions?

I would not use a solvent on a helmet.
I wax my helmets, and there is a thread regarding the use of Pledge furniture polish on helmets and plastic body panels. |

I use gold spraypaint, it covers almost every type of scratch.
But then again, I have a gold helmet, so nobody really focuses on the scratches anyways.
