Sat. Morning

I am going to head out for a long one, probably before 10am. Always subject to change, but I think that I will head for Eagle Rock, then on to Clifton Forge and Douthat State Park area. Smith Creek Rd. looks interesting and I just want to see some new territory.

I got all day.

It'll probably be mostly all slab and paved back-roads today (unless I am pleasantly surprised to find some dirt roads) and I'll be on the S.Tenere for comfort and efficiency.

As always I'll watch for PM's, emails, texts, etc. in case someone wants to join in.

We usually do another ride in the fall, Sept. or Oct. Will post when we do. Should not be more than 2 hours from Lynchburg.

AB13 - I guess this is the 500 I saw at your shop a few months ago? What a beauty.
Too bad it wasn't for sale last week - I bought Russ' purple GS last Monday and don't have enough toy money left for a KTM.

saddle up

hey yall, I just moved here to farmville area via NC mtns. I'd love to meet and ride with some VA folks. At the least some advice on places to ride to save on rubber. I've been quizzen the nieghbors about local stuff and unless I was a deer their not to interested. I'll be bush pushin here untill I wrangle up some local stuff to ride. My bike is starting its grass fed diet .

Personal ad:
prefer trail over gravel, gravel over tar, curvy over straight
willing to travel for rocks, roots, mud, dirt, leafs, creeks
up for camping and telling lies
not fastest but not slowest just like to ride
lastly willing to ride rain or shine, game for 50/50 riding into the 50s, colder I vote for technical single track....snow on the ground faster than 2nd gear might freeze my nipples

shoe me VA

Sorry to barge in on this thread. I lived in Farmville as a kid. Actually 5 years at Hampden-Sydney, 2 years at 905 High St. in Farmville. My dad was chairman of the math dept. at Hampden-Sydney and mom worked at the Longwood College Library. At the time H-S was one of the only all-male colleges left in the country and Longwood was an all girls school. I think we left in 1979.
Is Perini Pizza still there? It used to be a few door up from the intersection of High St. and Main St.?
