I think those eBay ones look fine. And the bars ARE 7/8" at them grip end so they might work with some finagling. Matter of fact I've never encountered a hand guard kit that didn't require any finagling.

I asked them to send me the 1&1/8 ends. We will see if they do.

He asked for our advice, but then blows it off when we get it. i was simply trying to put into prospective. this is just the internet, i can not make him do anything, he will do what he will do, but then he shouldn't ask what we think. which is exactly what he was doing in his first post.

Thanks for reading Dan. Yes I am just trying to find out if anyone else has used these Ina GS. My correspondence with the seller on eBay is not working out so I am probably going to return them. They were only 35 bucks shipped so I knew I was a taking a chance.

Casejeep I was not blowing you off. Just got a chuckle out of your comment. The GS is not a beauty queen.

So the consensus is nobody has put these on a GS but I could with some work.

Atta boy Johnny...screw the doubters I say. Once their all fitted up and lookin' good, please post a photo. If they work, I want the CF Phoneys...I think they look, well, like carbon fiber phoneys. The BMW guards aren't any stronger (but, they do fit well).

Make 'em fit...screw the candy asses...since when did a little poor fit stop a GSer...hell, we're currently posting to several threads where bolts have been broken and threads have been stripped, brakes have been FUBARd and lights don't work....this thread is, well, its worth the try to get 'er done.

Agree ... make them fit and look good and post results. If everyone followed the book and bought OEM we'd loose that whole adventure / farkling joy

there's a lot of good ratings there .. couple of fit issues but if you can make it work they sound like good bang for the buck.
