That's what I've come up with. Reading between the lines it's pretty obvious. My bet is that Kimi is staying at Lotus.

Webber Demands Continuing Australian Sports Humiliation

September 3rd, 2013 | Author: admin
Mark Webber says Daniel Ricciardo has all the necessary attributes to carry on his role of humiliating Australian sporting prowess.
The soon to be ex-Red Bull driver said years of lording it in cricket and rugby made his nation rightly despised and another 2 to 3 years of having its arse handed to it should be the bare minimum required to gain at least some kind of sports-atonement.
“Australia spent about 2 decades being a right pain in the arse about sport,” the Queenbeayan driver started.

Go Ozzies!

“I firmly believe true penance will only be served once we’ve been humiliated by a level of competitive mediocrity
bordering on downright failure I’ve been striving for my whole career.”
“It makes perfect sense in that case for Daniel Ricciardo to keep the whole Ozzie sporting debacle ticking over by taking my seat next year,” he concluded.
Self-proclaimed Antipodean coarse-grained, siliceous sandstone; Webber forged a parallel career with the Australian cricket team by collapsing alarmingly in the face of superior opposition after years of being considered really good.
In the meantime, fellow countryman Ricciardo’s talent for wearing large hats, having a mouth you could go potholing in at weekends and usually driving a bit faster than a Frenchman fresh out of short trousers, has convinced the 37 year old the existing status quo of Oz-failure can be successfully maintained.
“I believe in Daniel,” Webber said.
“I believe he can come here, think he’s the bees-knees and get spanked so comprehensively the next time you see him will be the Red Bull canteen; gently rocking back and forth serving chips out of his hat soaked in his own tears.”

Formula 1: New Jersey race dropped from draft 2014 calendar

By Andrew Benson Chief F1 writer
Plans for a new grand prix overlooking New York City have been dropped from the draft 2014 calendar.
The race in New Jersey is replaced by a proposed event in Mexico City, which last hosted Formula 1 in 1992.
A race in the Russian city of Sochi and the return of the Austrian Grand Prix make up a 21-race schedule circulated by F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone.
The season is due to start in Australia on 16 March and end at Interlagos in Brazil on 30 November.

Ecclestone voices New Jersey doubts

The British Grand Prix is pencilled in for 6 July, one of eight races in Europe, and would clash with the final of the men's singles final at Wimbledon for the first time in two years.
The 2014 World Cup in Brazil would also be running, but 6 July is a rest day.
The absence of the much-anticipated New Jersey race, which would have had Manhattan as a backdrop, from the calendar is not a surprise.
Ecclestone told CNN last month: "It's not on the cards next year. They haven't got any money."
However, race organisers had insisted it would go ahead.
A 21-race season would be the longest in F1 history but team sources say a grand prix in Mexico is "unlikely" given there is so much work to do at the Circuit Hermanos Rodriguez, which would host the event.
Neither of the races in Russia nor South Korea are guaranteed to take place.
There are doubts over Sochi, which will host the 2014 Winter Olympics, because of a dispute between organisers and the national motorsports authority, while Korea does not yet have a contract with Ecclestone's F1 Management company.
The F1 calendar is likely to change several times before it is made official. The 2013 schedule was not confirmed until December 2012.
Draft 2014 calendar
16 March: Australia (Melbourne)
23 March: Malaysia (Sepang)
6 April: China (Shanghai)
13 April: Korea (Korea International Circuit)*
27 April: Bahrain (Sakhir)
11 May: Spain (Barcelona)
25 May: Monaco (Monaco)
8 June: Canada (Montreal)
22 June: Austria (Red Bull Ring)
6 July: Britain (Silverstone)
20 July: Germany (Hockenheim)
27 July: Hungary (Budapest)
24 August: Belgium (Spa-Francorchamps)
7 September: Italy (Monza)
21 September: Singapore (Marina Bay)
5 October: Japan (Suzuka)
19 October: Russia (Sochi)*
26 October: Abu Dhabi (Yas Marina)
9 November: Mexico (Mexico City)*
16 November: USA (Austin)
30 November: Brazil (Interlagos)
*subject to confirmation

I would dearly love to have a race here in New Jersey. Which is why it will never happen. Yes, it's my fault.

no... I think it is just a matter of Bernie waiting for his bribe fee to be paid...

Okay, now the word is that Alonso will stay at Ferrari after Santander persuaded/forced him to stay as they wish to continue sponsoring the Maranello boys. This still leaves the door open for Kimi, but that would be a pretty interesting line-up for next season.

Kimi told in Finnish media that nothing is yet decided and no news coming up during Monza weekend regarding next year...

And Lotus bagged a good financial deal with an Arab housing investment company.

Yeah, me too. He hinted he might be doing at least one more F1 race for NBC. I sure wish he'd made the jump.

It looks like they want to put Diffey on the IndyCar broadcasts. Which is fine, that series feels a bit dead at times and his noisy style adds some life to it.

Really wish Speed ponied up the cash and kept F1 and AMA. NBC pretty much sucks no matter who is announcing.
Couldn't sleep and ended up having to watch live streaming, I think I found crictv. Commentators and commercials, where speed stream was all engines and occasional garage conversation.

Hulkenberg's face at the press conference after qualifying was funny. Mix of surprise and happy to be there!
