Seems like Vettel is a very greedy chappy.

I like the comment on the podium from Webber about Vettel "he will have protection as usual".

Yup

Quite a race, but not overly exciting. Good job Massa! What were they thinking with Alonso though? Sheesh.

What a weird race. Will now have MMA in the team rooms. Hamilton forgets where to park. Alonzo with a fatefully wrong decision. Force India with jacked up cars on the jacks....

Still need to digest it all.

I know tyres usually degrade. But man the rubber piles off line near the end were huge.

'"I made a big mistake today and we should have stayed in the position,' said Vettel. 'I messed up in that situation and took the lead from Mark and can say now he is upset. Apologies to Mark. The result is there and all I can say is that I didn't do it deliberately.
Vettel insisted he wasn't aware of his error until after the race. 'Mark should have won,' he said, adding that he won't make the mistake again."

"Wasn't aware"

Isn't that a good thing? . I should maybe say that I am a big Schumacher and Vettle fan! He is now going for four in a row!

Not really sure why the team would want Mark to win, it's not like he has a chance at the drivers championship, half the time he can't launch the car. He is Massa to Vettel's Alonso...

If I was Horner at lap 45 I would have come over the radio " Webber, Vettel is faster than you... Conferm you herd this message!

Did I mention I am a Vettel fan!

Perhaps it's because Webber has stayed behind Vettel when ordered to do so on previous occasions?

Two things strike me.

Is there any team that screws up race strategy as regularly as Ferrari? With Alonso's car very badly damaged and mortally wounded, they elect to stay out an extra lap on the intermediates - huge risk, small return if they get lucky. (Given that Alonso's wing probably wasn't working very well anyway, I'm not even sure you can argue that an extra lap on the inters would have been better than a lap on slicks anyway.) I understand how under huge time pressure misjudgments are made in the heat of the moment, but they had about 90-secs to make this fabulously poor decision.

And Vettel saying after the race about his pass of Weber: "...all I can say is that I didn't do it deliberately." So Seb, you want us to believe that you inadvertently diced with his teammate at great risk against direct orders over four or five successive corners? One of the most disingenuous statements I've ever heard from a race car driver. With his earlier whining about wanting Weber to move out of his way, this guy is getting to be very unlikeable.

All things considered if I were Vettel and based on the slim margin of victory in the WDC points last year I would have done the same, every point matters. Plus there was a lot of racing left to do and the Hammi sandwich was in 3rd. If it was the closing laps of the race ok I get it, Webber handled it like his usual Webber pout, with diapers on

Rosberg was also a team orders 'victim'. As he said after the race, 'I work for MB' or something to that effect. Too bad Seb didn't think that way. His toxicity will linger for a long time. Never heard Horner so candid and critical.

Team orders are BS, thank god you don't see this stuff in Road racing. And why don't they put some gas in the car...what if you have to dice it up with someone who isnt your team mate..."sorry, can't go fast, not enough fuel" bogus!

Nice guys don't finish first in F1. Sure Vettel is a prick, but he is a better driver than Weber so he will continued to get the support from the team.

Hilarious when Lewis pulled into the Mclaren pits......oops. Glad to see Merc doing well so far this year.
