It was the same here, wasn't it?

Nearing the end of the live stream Sunday they were talking about a few riders still being on the course and only having a few minutes to get to the next check point or they'd be done.

It was more that it was getting late and if they hadn't left the remote pit by a certain time they wouldn't make it back by the 6pm end of race. We hung out with the guys at the last checkpoint for a while and the word went out to begin stopping riders about 3pm.

we consider ourselves fortunate for having an international level racing right here in socal....

triumph has the better pics, and i'm thankful to him as well. i didn't see the start, but able to grab good spots to watch the race.
