CL xchallenge in Westerville, OH. Need inmate help.

I'm looking to pick up a xchallenge off of CL that is located in Westerville. To my knowledge, the guy is not an inmate. I was hoping I could get an inmate who is familiar with xchallenges to take a look at it and tell me if anything jumps out as being problematic. Mostly I'm thinking potential or real mechanical issues.

If I move forward on the purchase I'd get the bike shipped so I wouldn't have the opportunity to see it in person prior to buying.

I'm sure we could negotiate some recompense for your time.

Thanks in advance.

Garrett.

I can't help you with the actual inspection, as I know nothing about the X Challenge. You may want to send Solace a PM, he sells those in that area and might very well know that particular bike.

If you end up buying it, I'm in the process of getting laid off, so I should have plenty of time... I'd be happy to trailer it to VA for you for just the cost of fuel, food, and any tolls.

I don't think I know this particular bike but I've seen it on CL and it looks decent in the pics/description. I can take a look at it if needed - I'll be glad to help.

Oh, I see I have a PM. Will reply to that.

Later,
M

Ohio riders rock! They play pretty good football down there too.

Ya sure, I enjoy road trips and have muled several bikes for ADV'ers I don't even know all over the eastern US. I have references, dammit! Plus I got a buddy who moved to Norfolk recently and this would be a good excuse to visit him on your dime...

PM me if I can help.

Good luck with the purchase.

I know nothing about X challenges, but I am in Westerville damn near daily. I would be happy to go take pictures, make vroom vroom noses. etc.

SCQTT on the board has one and works in Westerville, maybe he can help you out.

For what it is and what it comes with, it looks like a pretty darn good deal. Kind of hard to believe that it has been on CL 'for a while.'

Agreed! I was a bit worried, I know of a challenge for sale in a shop in Westerville that's in rough shape, but this isn't it, this one looks very nice.

Ads like that one always make me wonder. What kind of "opportunity" could have risen so this guy can't ride for the next two years?

I found the listing on CL, bike looks pretty good. I had one (it was stollen in Colorado this summer). The biggest complaint was the air-shock!

Bike checked and PM sent to gastone. Nice one, and a good deal.

Mike,

Thank you very much man. I emailed the seller to workout the deposit and transfer of funds.

And thanks to the rest of the Ohio inmates that offered to help.

Garrett.

Mike, thanks for the help man. The bike arrived this morning. I've got it on the trickle charger as she wasn't interested in starting.

My baby girl has already laid claim.
