Traveling To Sicily for a few weeks

I'm going to be in Sicily (Sigonella) for a few weeks next month (December). I was looking at places to rent bikes over there and can only find one place in Palermo which is from what I understand a 2 hour train ride away from the base.

I know we have riders on this forum from all over the world so figured there might be someone here from Sicily who could point me in the right direction for rental bikes or give me pointers for things to see in the area.

Thanks for any help guys and if I didn't provide enough info just ask

I would not ride a bike over there in any of their cities. countryside ok not not in town.

One's will fast get used to the mayhem,if not wouldn't be possible to ride in places like Delhi, Caracas or Mexico city...

I think that northamerican cities and highway could even be more dangerous to bikers respect the "organized chaos" of catania or naples.

I absolutely love driving and riding here. The traffic is constantly moving and everyone seems to be paying attention to what they are doing. Bikes pretty much have free reign.
