Hoop -

Man, that is beeeautiful. How's the buffeting on that screen? And, a low stock seat? How tall are you, if I may ask?

I want badly, but can't bring myself to selling my F8GS and no way could I take that beauty off the slab.

I need more cash and garage space.

That is a good looking fairing. I like the silver frame too. I wish I had one of each.

Yup. I use 'em on my Versys.

Mounted on your roadster are they narrower than the handlebars?

How about BMW factory side cases with city lids--are those narrower than the bars on an R1200R?

Have not ridden it yet with the screen as there is snow and ice on the road now, so not sure about buffeting yet.

The seat is the "comfort" seat not the low seat. I am 6' with a 32" inseam.

Thanks Hoop. Look forward to your feedback. By the time you can ride, I might be ready to buy.

Cheers.

Has anyone done any warm weather commuting in stop and go traffic? How easy is the dry clutch to live with (and I mean live with, not two stoplights every other saturday).

What's the real skinny on oil use for a daily rider?

For commuting so far its much better than my RT. Bike runs cooler, clutch is fine and oil consumption is the same. (almost none)

My 12 came with them, almost worn out at 6400 miles. Next set will be PR3. If they are not better back to the Z8.

David

Cool2 Wearism

...Oh the obsession so many have with tire mileage...

The bike I just got has PR3's on it. The old dude that rode it put them on nearly 7500 miles ago, and they look like new. Probably cuz he never rode over the speed limit and had them pumped to 42psi.
They last me about 5K rear and maybe 6K front.

When tires get worn, boys, you need to dump 'em for new. Moto's handle much better with new skins.

Just sayin'...
