Fly-N-Ride from VA to FL in December
Decided to take the plunge and buy myself a new (to me) bike for Christmas.
Plan is to fly up to VA and drive back down to Pensacola, FL. Any other time of the year I'd head west through NC, but I think it wise to avoid the higher elevations. So I'm stopping in Charlotte, then Atlanta, then home to Pensacola. I am somewhat on a schedule, but would rather avoid the slab if possible. I'm not wild about riding the Atlantic seacoast in late December, but opportunity presents itself in its own time, I suppose. Anyone got any suggestions? Anyone going that way that wants to ride along? Eric

Get a heated vest and do North Carolna. Unless they are forecasting a blizzard, which is unlikely.

Vest is taken care of at least. Not so sure about the blizzard though.
