Rib protection? Don't forget, Red did break one or two of my ribs before. That was a hell of a Camp-n-Ride campsite injury, and my only Pachaug injury so far. I did get a few Vicodin out of the deal to help me cope though. He just misinterpreted my enthusiasm for ditching the Pallet Hag.

Speaking of Camp-n-Rides, my next one is the last weekend of the year. 12/28 - 30th. See the CnR thread. They're not all Pallet Hags and broken ribs, I assure ya.

Not to play devils advocate but my recollection of the *incident* is that you returned to camp by running into the site out of the darkness and sliding in to the chair ring around the campfire face first like you were stealing home base. Redbeard on the opposite side of the fire ring must have made a comment; it's Redbeard after all... Then you moved (ran?) around the fire and tackled Redbeard who was still sitting in a chair.. Redbeard then got up and dropped a few elbows on you like a 1980's wwf wrestler..

That was a hell of a camp n ride!

oh my, a HUGE THANK YOU to all you guys

, especially Blue KLR Paul and alcontrast. I'm sorry I was so slow. That was the hardest riding I've ever done (I really can't think of another way to phrase it

) and I had a freakin' awesome time. My left thumb is no longer operable, and the bruises, they're going to be a work o' art. I gotta take a lesson in falling gracefully.

I don't know if my video tops yours MATPOC (those are some cool ruins for the New England area!) but here's the start of my ride today.. I think I may take a few weeks off from riding the DRZ after this one; which would be fine since it needs a bunch of maintenance anyway....

The closing image: I thought I'd take a hint from Rob since he seems to have this stuff figured out better than I!!

After watching the video I took a closer look at my helmet.. I think my thighs hitting the bars (especially my right leg) stopped most of my forward momentum but my helmet hit the tree as well. It was a pretty good hit mostly since it was SO straight on..

The rest of the day I was definitely off my game seeing as I had limited use of my right leg and right hand but it was a fun ride and I always like to see people pushing their limits! It bums me out a little seeing how easy it seams for P-Funk though.. I guess I really am getting old!
