We had a great time!
Congrats, Terry. Now you need more bikes!

I have been busy getting the house put together.. painting.. putting tongue and groove on the walls of a bathroom, and some fishing

I finally got the garage organized enough to pull the bikes out of the trailer today... The Husaberg started right up, and i rode it around the neighborhood.. no ill effects from the crash.. it still had RI mud on it from that day however. The throttle was sticking a bit, but I am sure that is just the bark buster pinching the grip a bit. The DRZ carburetor was leaking gas again.. probably a stuck float again.. and the batter was dead. The BMW had a super dead battery.. I pulled it out to take over to the shop to have it tested tomorrow.

I have been told that there are two huge riding areas less than 10 miles from my door.. Rainbow Falls and an area called 717.. or something like that. You guys have got to make a trip out here next summer.

That's a great photo! Looks like it belongs on the wall of a log cabin!

Is the knee all healed up?

The knee is mostly healed up..it likes to hyper extend on occasion.. but I am sure that is a function of weak muscles after taking so much time off.. I got the BMW running yesterday.. had about a 3 hour break from the rain in the afternoon and went out to the 717 area and rode some of the dirt roads.. nothing technical at all.. it looks like a great area to ride.. and I can see why the locals say you better have a map or be prepared to spend the night out there.. it is expansive. We are forecast to have rain for the next 5 to 7 days though

The entire area was burned a few years ago in the Hayman Fire back in 2002 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hayman_Fire so very few trees for me to run into The area really is struggling to recover.. supposedly it burned so hot it killed off the seeds that normally require fire to take hold. Still great riding though. I will get the Husaberg out there next week hopefully.

DS Ride

Well.. if you ever decide to try a 2.5 Hero section on a DS ride in a mountainous area.. make sure there is someone about 1/2 way through the trail that wants to buy your bike... because you will surely be happy to sell it at that point.

Thank you God for answering my prayers for the faint road right where I decided I needed a plan b... and for all the noise lester was making 1/2 mile in front of me for 20 minutes...

Thanks Tom for the push!
Thanks Drew for leading on the second attempt, I should not have pointed out the "Non-Hero" sign that turned into a endro trail...
