Yup, I've been following along with your progress in that thread... looks like you had a great trip!

No trouble. I'd like more power for the inevitable slab. Other than that, it does everything its supposed to. Cruise at 65. Handle almost any terrain. Get decent gas mileage. Haul a ton of crap and power all your electrics.

1900 miles in 7 days. 90% dirt. No issues at all. Its a great bike, but I'd really like something just a little bigger so I can go to just one bike. I'm funny that way. Seems a 690 is the only bike that fills that niche

Why didn't you take the Tiger? That bike would have been perfect!

For some of it. Anything not paved I prefer the wrr. When I was there a lot of grading was happening. Add that to the log trucks and rain, you get lots of ruts, mud and slop. The lighter, quicker in those conditions, wrr makes for a fun ride rather than a chore. Maybe, if I was a better rider or perhaps once it all dries out and the grading is finished. I'd still prefer the lighter weight bike I'm sure.

Nice Ride !

The 690 is quite a machine!

Wetter than what I am used to, but not bad at all.

Missed one turn, but it was parallel to the loop and came out a few yards down the road...

Some sections seem overgrown since I was last there and looked quite different...

Thanks for the company!
