Basically -
linky Using BDCW mounts. I am mostly happy. I would have designed the mounts a bit differently since they mount directly to the forks; I would have made the inside diameter a bit larger such that a split plastic ring would have been fitted between the mounts and the forks for fork protection and for better mating surfaces. A split ring with a ridge at the top would have been ideal. I used some aircraft tape between the mounts and forks however this made the installation was quite fiddly.

Nice. How steady is the light? Being on the forks, I would think, would shake all over. Did you get the straight forward illumination, or opt for the forward/side combo?
Worth the money?

Steady beam. I opted for the Specter-driving which gives a good side and forward spread.
Worth the $$, hard to say. I mainly did it for evening autumn/winter rides home from work; I am not a night rider. However... I live in a semi-remote area that seems to get less remote all the time. Tonight, I was able to use only about 20% of the time, maybe. Everyone seems to be driving at that time. These lights are so bright that they will blind oncoming traffic. You must be willing to shut these off far from oncomers (a word?). This leaves a long dark gap. Damn; and generally in the worst areas. When you can use it, it has a great spread. When not, it is irritating. I'll post a comparison.
