950 tires?

I have a 06 950sm and I'm wanting to do more dirt road/ gravel road Adv riding with friends.
What's the best tires for this, that will fit my bike?
The sm has a 120/70-17 front stock and rear is 180/55-17
I have been told that Adv wheels will Not fit my bike. So I am stuck for now looking for tires
That will fit my current rims. Any ideas?Besides buying a Adv or SE.

Heidenau K60's work great on the ADV and they make a 17"
