950s KTM helmet lock?
Yo....how do I rig up a helmet lock for my KTM 950s? Is there and aftermarket part out there? I know about the cable thing. But I want something that doesnt require flippin the seat off.

I just use a master lock and with a long latch on it. Then ether hook it to the bark busters are one of the braces are the tail bag plate.

I have used a small cable lock and run it through the visor opening on a full face. I figure that eliminates the motivation to just cut the helmet strap. (which some idiots would do). |

I have crash bars. So I installed a motion pro helmet lock on the tube. I have one on each side for the both of us.

Well this requires taking the seat off, but it works great for me.

The BEST part is, you don't need an extra key. Thanks

I saw a tip here a while back that I like a lot:
Get a long cable gun lock and run it around the chin bar and a piece of the frame or luggage rack. I went in a gun dealer and they gave me as many as I wanted for FREE (they said most customers don't want 'em. ![]() I keep the cable unlocked in my jacket pocket so I can lock the helmet when I stop somewhere without messing with my keys.

Mater lock
To Soberman001, I run the lock though the D-rings of the helmet. But I just see the gun lock I like that! It could all so double as a Blackjack

I did it on both sides for when I ride two up. Joe

I made up a pair of vinyl-coated cables with loops at both ends, so I can lock up his and hers. One end fits over the front luggage rack bolt/bushing. They swing out left/right for use, swing inside/under the rack plate when not in use. Slick, light and out of the way. Works with the Gobis too. Seat stays in place. I use small brass bodied locks on the end loops to the helmets.
You can usually make up stuff like this at a marine supply store back in the rope/cable/rigging section. Cost like 3 bux.
