Denver\Boulder ride tomorrow 5/27

Anyone want to ride tomorrow? Weather should be great and the dirt will be tacky.

Great solo ride

Had a great solo ride. Found out I have had Penn Gulch and Bear Gulch mixed up. Penn Gulch sucks! It is just plain hard, nothing fun about it at all. Bear Gulch is pretty hard but lots of fun. Also the stuff on the west side of P2P is starting to open up for the season.

if Bear Gulch is off Switzerland trail, can someone point on the map where you enter and exit Bear Gulch?

thanks

Ya. Those directions are accurate. Penn Gulch almost looks like a driveway. It starts immediately after you ride through Sunset. Bear Gulch is maybe 1.5 miles up Switerland Trail from there. Penn Gulch is rocky loose and a bit steep. No time to recover between rough sections. If you stall or nap you will have a hard time lifting the bike on the loose sloping rocks. Bear Gulch had spots that are smooth. And a few really easy spots.

That's is about the time I was up there. But I didn't see a single other bike the whole time. I ride a black DR650 and have a hi-Vis safety orange helmet.
