Conditions in the Abajos

I just checked with the FS, there's still some snow drifts and mud up on Woodenshoe road, they expect it to be passable in a week or so

Chris that is GOOD NEWS!!!!!! I was just down in the Swell and looking at the Mtns I thought it would be a close call, but if it is almost passable now we will be fine in 3 weeks or so

Jeff, are you sure those are psychedelic hills or was it the influence of a newly legislated substance that was at work?

It's been awhile, but I don't remember that building in that area. Of course I may have been under the influence of long time legally obtained substance like tequila.

That's pretty country around there.

The old ranch house is a slight detour off the main road, just north of the Muddy crossing.

That kinda stuff isn't legal in Utah.

I've started packing. Managed to find a good beer in cans and a sturdy 12-pack box. The plan is to pack them next to frozen drinking water. This is for the first night. First come, first serve

DOT Tires

We were in the Park this week doing the White Rim. The Park HQ in town told us the most tickets given out are for non DOT tires. So I changed out my rear dirt tire for a D606. Then, of course, never saw a Ranger the whole way around.
