Greywolf sure picked a crappy line. Stuck in the deep sand, with a nice hardback line to the right.

What, you didn't catch GG's drop only yards later?!?!?

Rick, you're just an animal. The only person to get a zero on that section. I was a real wuss, being terribly afraid of sticking a leg under the hard bags.

BTW, that hill is where Whitewater ripped off his left pannier on the way down. The "fuse" rivets holding the Gobi latch on ripped out, resulting in the use of a strap to hold the bag on for the remainder of the trip.

Yet another view

If you check post number one--this ride actually started in Fruita on the Koko--ummm--how many started there? Assfault and yours truely

Of course that got us all of the Koko--including--Rose Garden Hill. Now I have a video of the two of us cruising down RG--yea right--I've got 6 megs of us bulldogging two bikes and a set of panniers down

Then the next day we were all off and running out Kane Creek way

Well at least for a while

Then we were off again...

After lunch it was off to Elephant Hill--

Then there are the show offs....I had both my wheels in the air---pointed up

After several encounters with gnarly stuff--that means it can bite you--we get to the easier stuff, Bobby's Hole...

Where, I can only speak for myself, I parked at the bottom and walked my line to the top. But before I could get back down our ride leader jumped on my KTM and just had to ride it to the top Well that is my story anyway....
While waiting I noticed he liked it so much he ran back down and rode a couple of others back up I'm sure they were up walking their lines too

Some hit it hard and with some help from friends along the way made it up...

After Bobby's Hole and a short detour our smaller group got to our Motel in Blanding, about 9:30pm I had killed my headlight somewhere along the way and rode about 90 min in the dark Yea this is fun No pictures that night but here is getting off the next day.

I was gimpy and asked Dirt Dad to escort me around to the next nights camp site on the pavement
Got some great views going that way.

Camping was great thanks to the fantastic support crew NOT the two shown in the pics---they were just sucking up the beer

Final day was dual sporting back to our start points--all went well. My KTM died and would not restart--at the front door of the motel where my truck was parked--can't ask for much more.
Thanks to our host for all the planning and help along the way and yet another round of applause for the excellent support crew

Great pictures! I must say tho, I'm disappointed at the silence and complete lack of pictures about the gas stop at Needles Outpost. I causes me to wonder what really happened there.

FYI, in the picture above, the road to the left (looking down) is the route to Impossible Hill.

Photos I got..............

The Canyonlands Adventure Crew...........

Friday was a fun ride though Lockhart Basin and then maybe a not so fun ride through Canyonlands

Bash explaining why his rear tire was missing the air.............

Elephant Hill resulted in some carnage............

After this it was me, Howard, Dave, Lynda and Tomas getting inner mingled with the New Mexico crew as we picked our way though some amazing county in Canyonlands leading up to Beef Basin......

Saturday I did not get many pictures, but it was a good ride up into the Abajos. Always amazing how cool it gets coming from the valley floor. We took Wooden Shoe down towards Hite. Along this section I ralized the air boot was not seating on the airbox So after Hite Howard and I took pavement back into the camp for night two. I must admit I felt like a wuss sitting at camp and relaxing while Lynda, (who has only been riding a bike for 5 months ) and the rest of the group was banging out another 100 miles though the Maze District. Nice Job

The 2nd night was a blast......

The 3rd day people broke up into smaller groups as we did Black Dragon Wash into Green River (now on my Dads XR)....

Once in Green River people all went their own way. Me and Bash headed out to do the Thompson Trail into Grand Junction. Going along the TT there was tons of sheep and in one instance I thought either Bash or I were going to get attached by the two charging, 100lbs, sheep dogs

We pressed on untill Bash headed into town on a bail out. I did not have a GPS, but I was pretty sure I knew the rest of the route. Then my second encounter with another sheep guard dog led to me getting lost in the desert when I had to make some emergency maneuvers away from the trail to avoid the damn dog down a creek bed. After trying to find the trail (or a road for that matter) I gave up and eventually ended up in Cisco where I just hit the slab back to GJ.

A great weekend with some amazing people

I would like to say THANKS to Ben and his family for making this ride truly epic. They went far and away to put the riding groups needs before thier own, and @ the campsite put out a hospitality most 5 star hotels cant match.
So to the Dubinky clan, I say thanks again, as I can only appriciate thier generosity, as it was superb!
Great people, great riding, in a great area. While most of the group, myself included, was tested to the limit, everybody dug down deep, and helped the group enjoy the whole ride, wherever thier route took them.
What a great start to the riding season here in the Rockies. I'm sure the WestFest Rally in BV later in the season will meet or exceed this event. Thanks to everybody who participated and made this the event of the year.
Till the next one.......

It was great having you guys along and I know everyone was very impressed. It is amazing doing all those miles with so little time on motos, so nice job. It was a blast

Bash...
Great time and we were happy to do it for such a good group. I hope you are off for Westfest in BV!

I cant belive you ran into another overprotective, rabid sheep dog/small horse. That one charging up that fenceline ment serious business. Not to be dismissed as a mere annoyance, those dogs were looking for blood. They probably eat coyote for breakfast. Glad you made it out of the desert in one piece!

No kidding, the sheep were all over the hillsides and were lambing, so the little ones were hanging close to the teet, so to speak. Those dogs were in no mood to talk, only get us out of there.
After your deal with the bite, you would of flashedback for sure.
