Friday didn't suck!

Well since the San Juans have not been blessed yet from Ullr, our mountain has the one white ribbon of death which isn't overly appealing to me, and i have been working too much as usual, what to do to appease the inner demon? Make a work day a play day! So I scheduled to have one of our clients cars fixed in Montrose that would take at least four hours and off to Peach Valley we went. Work related moto hookey!

The parking lot was very crowded....

The dirt conditions were horrible, so we had to make several laps to beat it into submission...

There are actually some rocks among all the dirt and moon dust..

So basically it was a ditch day...ditched work for awhile to ride Ditches! We got in Elephant Ditch, Techno Ditch, Eagle Valley and everything in between until my buddies kick starter broke (again!) on his xr400 and it was time to go back to work. We even finished the day with our company holiday party, so an all you can eat and drink at Fat Alley in Telluride...Life could be worse I guess!
I know it needs to snow, but days like this don't suck!

A four hour oil change? Nothing better than riding ditches on a weekday!!
Too skeered to ride em on a weekend, its just to easy to go to fast. Had a close call out there when I was in high school and I'm still traumatized by it

Nice seeing ya last night! I'm a tiny bit hung over this a.m.

I know what you mean, but when you are the only ones in the parking lot, its pretty much game on! I once had a head on in Elephant Ditch when i was in third...wasn't too bad, had to restraighten the triple clamps and i think he was pissing a little blood, but it still gives me a head trip when others are out there.
Good show last night! That was fun! I drank way too much Friday night so i was on my best behavior last night, which meant the wife shaped one got to drink more, and that always works out for me in the end!

This is the problem with the "younger" generation in America.... You kids think you own every place so head-on collisions happen......I hope you foul-mouthed hooligans are proud of yourselves!

Wait....What?

Let me know when you're going to bar bash in those ditches...I might come out, and guys like you and I couldn't stay away from Sidewinder (which I've never ridden).

Let me know. I might be able to make it, if this weather keeps up. Coming into my super busy season, which is why i only had a few hours to ride instead of having enough time to tackle Sidewinder, but honestly i have no problem just going to my favorite ditches out there and riding hard. I was bummed that the kickstarter broke before we got to Monster Ditch, it's like a dirt halfpipe!

for foot injuries.

I'm sooooper paranoid about bashing a foot so I'm usually going kind of slow, scanning for that ankle breaker constantly. The last time I rode it I hit a boulder with my bars, and a tree with my knee.
