![]() I love the carb on my Beta. Great stock jetting, and gravity won't ever fail me and leave me starving for fuel. You also won't find any Beta threads about bad fuel fumps, clogged filters and injectors, pinholes in fuel lines spraying all your fuel on your boots, the need to remap/reflash, yada yada. Heavy maintenance? Meh, the same as any other high performance bike. If your not racing and/or bouncing off the rev limiter and abusing the clutch, oil stays clean a long time, and my valves haven't moved in over a hundred hours.

Great Thread
Waiting for the holidays to pass so I can purchase through the BYOB program. Converting the 2001 Xr650 to a dual sport and looking at the 520 for a new desert bike. Hearing nothing but positive info on the 520. Keep up the thread and I should be joining in by Feb with my new bike.
