Wyoming Whiskey

The first batch came out 11-30-12. It's Distilled in Kirby, WY. I guess the first batch sold out to distributors in 20min. The next batch will be this summer sometime.

I've heard amazing things about that stuff. I'd love to get ahold of a bottle!

On the colorado front, this just hit the shelves...

So, where does a Front Ranger find this stuff? Any preferred outlets? I'm always on the lookout for good whiskey.

Sure you guys have seen Stranahan's... pretty good stuff IMHO.

Cool! it's neat to see all of the independent distilleries all over the place! Maybe it's the new micro-brewery fad? I just tried Stranahan's whiskey (Denver) and it was really nice. Very smooth. I also tried 303 Vodka and whiskey (Boulder) and it was nice too. The vodka was a little better then the whiskey IMHO.

Lenny,

I've been enjoying the bottle I picked up in Oct. Downslope in Centennial is also a winner. Stranahan's is excellent and available at Argonaught's if you don't make it to the distillery. And our first stop on this year's Wiskey Tour was at Don Quiote. Old timers can find it in the old Line Camp road house in Pojauque, NM.

It seems like many of my friends can't stop talking about the stuff (Wyoming Whiskey). I'll have to give it a try.

Also some pretty nice folks. We were passing through Denver, with the Stanahan's Distillery as our inteded lunch stop. We, along with another guy, were disappointed to find the distillery closed. While getting a bite to eat at the pub next door, the the bar tender overheard the three of us talking about it. She walked next door to let them know. One of the Stranahan managers came over to get us, and gave us a private whiskey tasting. We bought a bottle, and the other guy bought a case. We all left a healthy tip for the bar tender as well. It's good whiskey, with a different taste than I am used to.

Awesome story! I agree about the taste, it has a stronger Amaretto (?) taste to it than I'm used to but I like an occasional glass. Favs are still Makers and Woodford Reserve.

I heard about that from one of the bar owners here in town. Don't remember much about what I heard, though, because I heard about it in the bar.

Agreed. Pushing such a destructive drug has no place on this forum. Whiskey has destroyed countless lives and kills hundreds of people every year.
