The route we are doing would be fine on either. So far, the only committed riders are on KTM 990s. You might be able to keep up on your GS

We are limiting the amount slab to a minimum so it's really up to you. We do have one leg that is about 160 miles between fuel stops.

They came down from Mikes. They were following a past 1000 winner riding a Crf450x heh heh.

X2 on Cabo Pumo. Just South of Los Barriles on the coast road (mostly dirt) to Cabo from La Paz. There is an awesome taco stand on one of the best beaches in Baja there. There are corral reefs a half mile off shore to dive - you can rent all the dive gear and pangas right there in the little fishing village of about 100 residents, too deep to snorkel (40').

route

Hey Steve,
Do you have the route mapped out yet, or will there be some "adjustments" on the road?
If I can get my wife to sign off on it I'll have to haul ass back from Cabo. 2 weeks will cost me lots of guilt!

Adjustment are always necessary! Yes, the route has been mapped out. I figure it will take 5-6 days to get to Cabo. I don't plan on being gone the entire 2 weeks.

If you need to get back in a hurry, you can slab it I suppose.

Anyone else interested?

The trip is coming together nicely. One member of our group is playing a gig in Ensenada on 4/20 so that's where we will be ending the trip. Should be a great way to top of an epic ride!

Hope one of you guys can make our 1,200 mile beer run!

Well put! I think I should bring one of those soft sided ice chests. I am sure there will be blue watered sandy deserted beach where we will need to stop, take a swim, and drink a cool one, Yeah!

Hey! I think it is still open, I'm attending, but it is Stevodadevo who started this ride up. We are leaving SD on 4/06/13, down to the tip and back ending in Ensenada on 4/20 for a music gig. Trail and dirt as much as we can. One of the jumps between fuel stations is 160 miles Currently all riders are on bigger bikes (KTM990) packing light, buying food on the way, hitting hotels and the alike for the night. How does this sound to you?

My group is planning a similar trip this April. We'll be headed out around the 2nd of April from Ensenada, riding to Cabo and back (or as far as we can make it down in 4-5 days). We're planning on being back to SD by the 10th. There are 3-5 of us and we'll be on 450s. Maybe we'll see you down there, lets grab a beer!
