Well, the plan is to stay in hotels but we will be prepared should that not be an option. It wouldn't be the first time I slept on a beach in Baja!

Looks like we'll be off around the 3rd, and we'll probably pull into Cabo or La Paz around the 7th. I'll be flying back home from there.

How far down do you think you'll make it by the 7th?

Will be traveling from Phoenix--leaving April 1 for San Felipe, Loreto, La Paz, Pescadero. We will be a party of three and happy to share the road. Most travel will be on highway with exception of San Felipe/Hwy 1 leg. We speak Spanish and have been to Baja on multiple occassions but not since 2000. I expect it's quite different.

We won't be very far. We should be leaving San Felipe on the morning of the 7th.

Sounds like you guys are doing the opposite of us! We are trying to avoid the highway as much as possible.

I will be hauling the bike (fresh set of knobies) in the back of my truck, leaving about the 3rd of April. I have free lodging along the way and when I arrive in San Diego. There is room for another. Break off what you are waiting for, this is what life is meant to be.

This trip sounds wonderful, dirt as much as possible all the way south. I'm well up for this!! Only issue is its just a tad too early for me to go. If for some reason it gets put off a few weeks sign me up.

Whats the route look like in terms of cities, villas, etc. you'll be passing through? When you get back make sure to link this thread to a RR.
