I watched a different video on Lit's webpage several months ago.
Why does it need outriggers if you can't knock it over? How the hell do you corner this thing? Talk about standing up in the corners ![]() I've noticed that they don't show it going around a corner in either of the vids I've watched.

What technology does this use to stabilize itself?
What happens to that technology when it no longer has power going to it?

Outriggers
outriggers are for parking. power off, outriggers down. That's why they aren't the type of outrigger w/ wheels, like that older version, that was lower tech, and quite a bit longer.
Didn't BMW make something similar 10-20 years ago that was also called the C1? Why does everyone need the same letter codes? Maybe these things will allow someone in Assholeachusetts to passa car within 10 feet in traffic and not get a ticket , but I won't hold my breath. |

Vaporware most likely. It's one thing to build one prototype. Imagine what is involved in making something like that fool resistant for the general public. Also, at what volume do they start making money at the $20k price point? Those gyros are going to be expensive until they can scale the production way up.

I love stuff like this. Amazing advancements are made by the "why not" people, not by the skeptics.
It's worth mentioning though that in the sidebar pics on the C1 page, passenger room appears to be limited.

I wish them well also, but I wouldn't give them money to get on their "waiting list". Why do that when you can wait for free?
Remember "FlytheRoad"? They were saying in 2007 that they'd be in production in 2008. They're still vaporware. |

It seems like a solution much more complicated than the problem.
Here's their HQ on Folsom St. if anybody is curious.

The word via their website now is production ready in 2014. Looks like they care as much about deadlines as Jesse James. Question on the preorder form , Would you be intrested in putting up a $1000 deposit in 2013 to secure delivery in 2014? Then they offer options of , yes, no , maybe , etc. I might risk it on an option of double my money back if they can't deliver the thing. Who is fronting the money to keep the dream alive for 7 years /

The actual solution is working public transport ...
![]() But for individual transportation it's definitely better to use something like this than any car type vehicle. Less space, less energy consumption, ... It will attract more people to commute with this than any motorcycle, scooter, ... ever can. |

No where did they state how far it would go on a charge and how it is charged. Can you charge it from a normal houshold power cord or will it require one of the fancy charging station like the cars?
The more the gyro's are used sitting still does the power usage go up. I don't want one but do find the Tech interesting non the less. Ray |
