I did it!

Finally pulled the trigger on an F700GS. It'll have good company in the garage...

Haven't ridden it much yet, just back home from the dealer. So far I like it quite a bit. The engine is smooth and so is the trans.

Ok well the bike is 100% stock. You are required to read all posts now to find its inherent faults then modify everything to address said faults. Touratech must be notified ASAP so that a catalogue can be mailed and adequate "protection" can be purchased and installed. Only when the bike is properly outfitted to handle situations it was not intended for can you consider yourself a "Gnarly Adventurer" and worthy of this site.

Welcome to the Parallel Universe.

Haha.... thanks guys!

I'm not all that big into farkling, so I'm not planning on doing much to it. The one thing that I would not mind changing though is the exhaust. I find the stock can overly large and unsightly.

Other than that, I'll most likely get a skid plate. Haven't decided which one though.

Making 100 posts and getting the badge is far easier

I have a Leo Vince on mine. Sounds great and much cheaper than Akrapovic. You will probably want a taller windshield if you do alot of highway riding.

I bought the BMW branded Akropovic and love it's sound and light weight. Now, it's not worth the $$$ by any means. About $750 delivered off Ebay or over a grand for the same thing with a BMW stamp. I was lucky enough to find it nearly new in original box for $350!!!!
