Flexx Enduro Bar on a 990 Info?
Well its officially winter and the next step in the evolution is the Handle bar and a Superplush upgrade so I can install the larger tanks.
One of the things I promised myself this time around is that I was going to drop the macho mentality and start building my bikes with riding longevity before performance so after talking to my orthopedic surgeon friend who also rides, he's sold me on the Flexx bars http://www.fasstco.com/shop/flexx-handlebars-mx to take care of my wrist and arms for years to come. (The guy knows his stuff. When I started track rider my Ducati and was suffering from wrist pain on my left arm which didn't make sense to me, he informed me that both my thumbs were dislocated, LOL. Now I can run multiple track days on the weekend with no pain............well as long as I don't crash. ) Anyway, is anyone running the tall Enduro and if so which bend, 10 or 12º. Flexx suggested the 15º Moto but I need a taller bar then stock with the BRP Sub-mount kit for the Scotts Damper and the 15º bend still seems a little too much for someone 6' 2". Thanks all!

Flexx is NOT an old man's bar.
I run a set of Enduro hi with 12 degree bend. I am 5'11" and the standing bar position is perfect.
Don't want to ride with any other bar. My wrists, elbows, and shoulders love me for it. SO does my wife. No complaining about pain when I return home. Not that it does any good to complain about pain caused by so much fun! |

Amen brother about the bars not being "Old Man Bars."
I love doing this too much and want to make sure I'm still able to ride when I am an old man! (Not to mention the bars are pretty cheap when you consider the cost of surgery.) Thanks for the response!

Anyone had any luck with Fasstco's "Which Bend?" button on their website?
Apparently, the OP hasn't.

Right now they are running a $50 off sale but I won't be putting them on until my forks come back from Superplush. The return policy is only for 30 days so rather then going off half cocked and buying a set of bars that don't work I thought I'd ask here....................I guess that was pretty silly of me, DOH!

I tried the 15 degree model from a friend. It had too much sweep, and made my wrists complain. Maybe I am just a dirt bike guy to the core and anything else doesn't feel "like home." I am a 12 degree guy.

Got a very helpful reply from Cole at Fasstco-- a pleasure to deal with & highly recommended.

He listed the two best bends for my bike (Adventure 19 & 15), discussed their bend and rise characteristics vs. the stock KTM bar, and then recommended the Adventure 15 based my preference for a more open bar than the stock KTM one.
Quite thorough and informative, and well worth the time taken making the request for bend info.

I'm 5 11 and run a 12 degree low bar with a scotts sub mount. I wish I had gotten a 10 degree... There great for forearm/elbow in the long run.. I haven't put them on the 990 yet cause I just don't run the same terrain as the 250 smoker!
