How much do I love riding my GS?
I realized last week, I had just put gas in my car for the first time in over 4 months

December on th Cape
I know what you mean. Still riding here at Cape Cod. I hit 29 degrees the other day, people are looking at me as if I were crazy! I can't seem to put it away for the winter! I can't get enough of it! I feel like a road warrior on the bloody thing!

sadly ending season today
I had to put mine away today. Got it started on Friday, but put into gear and it quit - not restarting. Happens a lot more often during cold weather and can't rely. sigh.

Still riding up here in Vermont. Coldest day so far was 16F, but as long as the roads are clear I'm good to go. Had to ask security to remove two Volvos from the motorcycle parking area at work last week.

Wow, news travels fast these days!
well since I am the BMW Parts Guy there... If you heard we closed, here's the short answer: The Bad News: Yes, due to sudden unexpected circumstances (which is a long story) we were forced to close the doors Thursday. The Good News: The owners and management are looking at plans that may allow us to at the very least, reopen the BMW, Ducati, Triumph, KTM end of the dealership in the very near future. It's still to early say exactly whats going to happen. For now we're closed, but we're hoping this is just going to be a temporary situation.

Bone, sorry to hear about the closing Man, hopefully it will work out.
I am still riding in the Appleton/Green Bay area of Wisconsin, was just out this morning on a 20 mile ride back from the German Girl's house, suppose to snow today but all that means is I have to leave a little earlier. Last time I went to use the car, the battery was dead! |

Know exactly what your talking about, I may have to take the battery tender off my truck today as
we are supposed to get some snow and freezing rain this afternoon. Its hard to put the bike away. Btw, just saw the new H2O GS here at the Toronto motorcycle show yesterday. Its nice but I really still dont see why the bike needs liquid cooling. The radiators are really just something else to worry about puncturing or impaled by a stick while off road. Sorry no pics for the proof, cant upload pics on here. |

Thanks for the info and I hope things work out for all the employees, especially the BMW parts guy.
I spend quite a bit of time in the area and had a problem with my GS last year in early October. If you remember ordering a ZFE for a 2005, that was me! They gave me a brand new 800 Triumph GS clone loaner for a day. I put 200 miles on it ![]() Best of luck! I'll keep tuned in over at ETR for updates
