What are you guys running for a skid plate on your 530? Looking for something stout.

nobody has one huh? I have heard some mixed reviews on the ee. The works looked awesome but not available anymore. I do remember reading a while back about one some guy said there company was building or something, and it looked amazing but I cant find that thread anymore either.

I run the plastic KTM skidplate, comes off easy for oil changes. I like the look of the new Cycra plastic plate though.
Plastic easily slides over logs and rocks. Some of the aluminum plates dont let you get to the oil filter with out taking the plate off.

And the plastic is holding up? I guess i just thought the plastic would crack too easy. I loved the look of the works connection one but they are discontinued. I thought I saw another company on here at once promoting there skid that looked beefy like the works but i cant seem to find that thread anywhere.

I too run the KTM plastic skid, it has held up very well and is a cinch to remove and reattach. I have an Acerbis plastic skid on my WR and it is a bit more beat up, but also holding up. They do glide a lot better than the aluminum skids IMO. If I were in the market the new TMDesigns skids would be my next one.

I havent really abused my 530 quite the way it should be yet,but others say the black plastic holds up well, having it come off with 1 quick release is very handy. The trick with the 1/4 turn quick release is to drill and zip tie the quick release closed,I also drilled and zip tied the plate on in another place.
Ive heard of them getting smacked and coming off otherwise.

The TM plate looks really good,Id be surprized if they didnt come up with one to fit KTM's,one plate would fit a bunch of KTM's I think. Ive got the Hyde racing plastic pipe gaurd/skid plate combo on my 300,slides over logs really nice and protects the fat 2 stroke pipe great.
