Hell freezes over...Duke 690

Wow, looks like the Duke 690 is coming back to the US
http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bike...ke-usa-canada/

I will have to check it out when it hits my local dealer.
Light weight and good power...just wish it was a v-twin, but hey, should still be a hoot on the back roads

From article:

Lastly, braking power comes from a Brembo radially-mounted caliper with a single 320mm brake disc, while suspension is handle by KTM subsidiary WP, and consists of fully-adjustable 43mm front forks, and a fully-adjustable rear shock.
Surely, they're mistakenly talking about the R model (one we may or may not be getting). The pictures show no adjustment whatsoever other than rear preload.

I wish companies would at least give us preload front and rear on these "base" models if they insist of reserving full damping adjustment for the more premium models.

But my gripes aside, happy to see it Stateside. 67 hp in a package well under 400 lbs will be quite the thrill. The search for my next bike isn't getting any easier, and I see that as a great thing indeed.

woah that sounds and looks like FUN!!!! And tall is good -- I have super long legs and I don't fit on anything.

Well, well, well. It's chilly in here.

The suspension is a disappointment, but it can be remedied with a little more money. A gas tank suitable for typical US riding distances will, however, take more than dollars. Still, most promising. Especially if all of the "R" components will fit.

I like the design change. Looks more like a street bike and less like a warmed-over enduro with SM wheels.
