Howdy All,
I've found a used KTM 990 Adventure (base model) with crash bars and plastic factory hard luggage for $10,500. It has 7000 miles on it. This seems a bit high to me. I'm thinking $9,200 would be a better price, just off the top of my head, and knowing very little about the 990 market right now. What do you think about the price? It is at a dealer too, so I'm sure they gave the poor guy who sold it or traded it about $4 or $5 K. Also, what has changed from the '09's to the '12's? Anything of note? Are they pretty much the same? I'll be buying a 990 Adv of sorts within the month. Thanks.

Maybe more like $8500. Why would you buy an '09 with 7000 miles and very little done to it for $10,500 when for $12,299 you can buy a brand new '12 r model?

I'm thinking an '09 for $8 wouldn't be bad, becasue then I could do up the suspension properly and turn it into an R. I plan on having superplush do the suspension either way, new R or older used non R. Plus for $8 K I wouldn't have to get a loan to get it, which would help save me on insurance costs. Just thinking out loud here. Thanks for the reply.

His Pistolship, interested to hear your thoughts on picking up a 990. I also have a TE610 and am considering the same.
