I didn't know what to expect of the bike on this ride, but it did great. I was running real low tire pressures (<10) and the front tire popped off the rim on the way down so I had to limp it out. Otherwise I was real happy with it. I'll probably bring it again next year with slightly higher tire pressures (but the low pressures sure helped on the ice).

Here is what I collected before the battery died on the GoPro. I was on the Husky, would have gone further than the gate, but the bike wouldn't idle and I didn't want to push my luck too far. Fun day as always.

Great day! As an Elephant noob, this is a must on the annual calendar. I got a real kick out of Julie's cabin - we struck up a great conversation on Marshall Sprague and CO history. Not bad Hot Coco either.

It was a fun time Saturday night. As a noob @ this ride, i didn't know what to expect. I know from experience that riding on ice and snow is, well, Anyway, I wasn't very prepared. The third time I dropped it, the shift lever got jammed into the case. Case savers protected the case well enough, but even after bending the lever back, it won't shift. 1St gear and neutral is all it gets. Lever won't return either. Seems like there is some drag on the shift shaft from inside. Maybe I will get the case off today and find out why. Next year will be better.

No Overholt this year- we kept bringing it up to a couple of years ago but it just isn't as popular as it used to be. hmmm. Haven't seen Pappy for a few years- haven't heard why. Can't get Jeff to come back from KS either...
