What a horrible racket. I have never raced scooters, but I have raced mopeds (real pedal mopeds) I used to own a couple of racing mopeds. I once went all the way to Circleville Ohio for a week of moped racing. A lot of beginners crashed because in moped racing you have to have the pedal on the inside of the turn up, or it will hit the ground, and down you go. So the pedals have to be in opposite positions for right and left turns. Racing mopeds average about 50 mph.
