The 300 KTM is very low maintainence except for the electric starter. It gets dirty if you use it or not.
The 350 KTM is incredible. I assume you are looking at the 350 EXC/XCW. Nice power, perfect trans ratios, turns great. KTM copied a lot from the 300's for this bike. A little rev'y for me, so I got the 500.

e The way I read it is the bike screams for maintenance compared to a 2 stroke.

I picked the gas gas, almost got the huzanberg. Hopefully I'll get some riding in this weekend.
 First two stroke since I was 17 years old this should be pretty fun.

My observations GG vs KTM:
(2011 and 2012 GG vs 2011 KTM) The GG is very flickable, like a 125. The GG will change a line in an instance. It feels lighter. It feels quicker. The 2011 GG felt better to me. The KTM is rock steady. It "plows" through stuff. It won't get thrown off track. It feels faster. Both are excellent bikes, you made a good choice. What year did you get and what model?
