There's a variety on interesting terrain.

The plains have little hidden places in the middle of wide open spaces that give them their own unique charm.

+1 on Wickenberg. I keep saying I'm going to head down some winter, but I haven't made it yet.

Less than 5" of snow at my house (6400', ~2 miles from Lefthand), should melt pretty fast if the forecast is accurate...

[However..... I heard from reliable sources that the Northern plains got very little snow. If it warms into the 40's, I would be up for some exploring in the Grasslands next week. Maybe even a visit to the OHV area.

There is a webcam on CO 14 right on the south edge of the grasslands

Eye witness weather states no snow in Nunn.

I'm going to have to pass on any NM/AZ trip. After a full year of more hours on a bike than I've ever done in my riding career, I'm content to kick back for a while. We have a forced shutdown over the holidays, but I'm on call to help manage a crisis in Europe and need to stay near the internet. I'm looking forward to sleeping in late, regular trips to the gym to work on my already chiseled features (), and leisurely afternoons tinkering in a warm carpeted garage with soft music while my sweet heart plies me with scrumptious body building goodies.

Eye witness states there is still no snow in Nunn. OHV area might have some, eye witness's relative drove to Cheyenne on 85 today and says the snow started 10 miles north of Nunn, so OHV are "might" have some. But 40 degree forecasts for the weekend, I'm sure it will be gone. I have Sat-Tues off and am definitely up to ride!

Looks like any road tripping will need to wait 'till after Christmas. Still have too much work left to wrap up and some last bits of wrenching to do. Thinking LHC one day this weekend.. and a few days in Moab or NM next week. Somebody really needs to go scout the Swell for me. I think just a little bit of snow could make for some great 5MoH footage.

I'd go give 5 moh a shot with you if it melts a bit, I'm looking at being back around the 28th.....We should bring ropes, extra warm clothes and try to get a couple of other morons though. Sounds like a good way to get in shape.....or die in the middle of nowhere.

I'll get some footage but I'm going to use one of the hard mounts instead of the goggle mount to try to get rid of the shake.
