Even if it isn't raining Sunday. Most the areas will still be too muddy. Chris and his girl were able to do some trail riding in the woods at a slow speed, but that was it.

Here was my experience last time. (Sunday before last) 1 min 35 is video. IDK why rest is blank black space. still working out the bugs. It is really just going to depend on the conditions. I might be up for that.

Is there anywhere else? Maybe we need to think further away from the rainy area.

Nice video Thunder Strike, and wow 650 at RRMT. I don't think I could pick up a 650 all day long - I have a hard enough time with my chunky DRZ 400.

Yeah, mud can be treacherous, but I'm up for it this weekend since I've managed to skip all the muddy days for a very long time. ...of course I'm open to other options if anyone suggests a place that might have dryer conditions this weekend.

I had to pick it up 3 times in 3 hours. Needed help on second 2 falls. lol

I love DRZ 400's! Rode my friends in Mustang, OK for a weekend around the ranch. I really wish I still had friends stationed at Tinker in OK.

Anyway, RRMT would be fine if I am riding with someone else. I can't go super fast, but I really want to try some of the technical stuff at a slower pace. I love doing hill climbs, and jumping logs. There isn't much of that up there.

Thanks for the compliment and be sure to check out my other riding videos. I plan on practicing wheelies and small jumps this week.

Ha! Yes, I believe it is... You should see what Zach's been doing to his bike. Last time we rode he launched it a good 6 feet off the ground. I need to make some videos...

I've been telling myself that for years, just don't have the money

I guess I'm spoiled by the electric start on the WR250R... I would want a lightweight bike with electric start (kick start too would be nice) and EFI and not too super tall. Chris' KTM500 is nice but really expensive and super tall. I would want to find a used yamaha 450...

Yeah, WR450s are nice. I want a KTM 300 though.

I'm going to try and sell my pitbikes and find a cheap one. The WR will get cleaned up, re-geared, and get 50/50 tires for commuting and gravel road riding.

I think something more dirt oriented might be better for me too - but I want to try before I buy because Child's KTM 200 exc wore me out (or it did last year when I first started riding) - also I may not be ready to switch from the cushy DRZ400 yet.

When I switched from the KTM 200 exc to the DRZ400 I felt so much better - it was actually a ride on Ender's WR250R that convinced me to switch to the DRZ (and I didn't want to destroy Child's KTM learning on it).

The WR250R and (even more so for the) DRZ400 feel like riding on a fluffy cloud compared to the KTM 200 exc. I think something between the DRZ and KTM 200 might be better for me now. I'm not in a big hurry, but it's something I'd like to explore this year. I'm open to recommendations...

Do you have a 2013 KTM 300 to 450 4-stroke for $950? :p

...under 500cc dualsport to keep the insurance rate low.

Don't Be FOOLED!

They said 30%, then 20%, and the app I use says 50% today for rain.
Went to local news and looked at the radar and their predictions.
Zero Rain today.

Makes me wonder about the weekend. They say chance of Thunder Storms. If you don't make plans to ride due to rain you won't be riding much these days. Why not plan to go to Red River like us, and then wuss out if it rains.
Only Z has the "mother in law" excuse that is valid.

NBC says T-Storms if they happen will be Sat evening and Sunday.
I vote early on Sat we do RR. Like eat lunch on the way and get there before noon bug out depending on Storms.

You can trust me because I have "Thunder" in my name!

I think your idea to do early Saturday is a good plan, but I can't go on Saturday (I have to go to a Chinese new-year party with the wife at noon - and it's 1hr south of Ft. Worth, so I can't make the timing work). Ender mentioned Child probably can't go this weekend, so currently Ender and I are planning for Sunday - weather permitting.
