Lots of these guys know. It's been talked about enough.

Google: site:advrider.com "orange crush" disable disconnect abs

Essentially, buy some "S" parts that never saw ABS

What don't you like about it?

Just move the rear sensor away from the the ring... put a washer behind it.

or get an S rear brake line and plug the outlet in the pump, and have just abs on your front wheel only, and never have to worry about tuning it off when offroad. One of the best mods I have done.

Um, no. This nukes the speedo on later 990s.

Unplug or move the rear sensor, this will fault the system and you will be good.

I'd like to know more specifics about the rear S line mod above....

From the what did you do thread... you posted on the page..
I removed the 2 lines to the pump and plugged the holes, got a line for the S and bled.
I really like this setup... can still steer with the back when needed and for the panic situations when flying down the gravel and unexpected critters pop out... no freakin out on the front is nice.

Got rid of a couple brake lines... and added the one off an S model. Front abs only now, lets hope it works.
