12/22/12 Big Bike Bomb Run

Hello Everyone,

I need to test my new Wolfman luggage. Meet at the 4C's Cafe in Cave Creek and ready to ride at 9am. They might be closed, not sure. Circle K across the street.

C4 is closed. Still meet in the parking lot and ready to ride at 9am.

Big bikes, easy, fast dirt up 7 Springs to Bloody Basin and then we will decide what to do.

Thanks, Eric.

Hi Eric, glad you're back in AZ. Merry Christmas! Two more weeks for me, then I get my trophy back.

I'm going riding somewhere tomorrow. This sounds interesting - especially since the 530 is down and the 950 SE is the available steed. Now I don't want too easy.

I assume this is the route to you're talking to Bloody Basin Rd?

Table Mesa Rd would be return option. Where on this route (or off/near of it) can we get can some of that "technically doable" stuff to keep us on our toes? Not too much of it - just enough to appreciate the lightweight thumpers we left in their stalls?

Hey Bob!

Merry Christmas to you my Friend! What was that you said about the trophy? Oh, that was if you got hurt while you still have it.....

Hope to see you out riding soon!

Wild Bill, we can go down thru Table Mesa, I have done it on my old 990, it is fun but hard in places. I would rather do that from I-17 and Table Mesa Rd. as I am a little sketchy on the turn off going from 7-Springs Rd. well, I now where that trun is it is the other to get on Table Mesa that worries me. I would get lost in a 7-11!! just ask my friends!!

I am game for what ever the pepps want to do.

Edit, most of the stuff on the Table Mesa Rd. will keep you on your toes! And if the rain has done what I think it has, hahah, it will get interesting in a hurry! I have herd that you ride that SE well, so may not be hard for you?

Yeah I was thinking return via Table Mesa Rd.

So: Seven Springs -> Bloody Basin -> I17 -> Table Mesa -> Seven Springs?

Should look something like this:

Looks exactly like that Wild Bill.

Depends on how many riders we get, it has taken me several hours to get to I-17 with some new riders. Which is fine, everyone is more than welcome!

If its just you and me, yea baby! We will tear up Table Mesa!!

See you at 9am ready to ride.

If you are thinking about riding with us, please be on time and ready to leave at 9am straight-up!

Thanks Uncle Tom, but what is the little turn off from FR41 onto Table Mesa itself? That is the one that I can't remember. It kind of turnes right off the main road in a two track going South-West.

Merry Christmas to you as well!

Hey BIG-E. I am going to stage at Wild Cat. Ok if I just meet up with you as you go by the intersection of North Cave Creek Rd and Bartlet Dam Rd?

I'd meet you going by point B on this map:
http://goo.gl/maps/St0FP

If you start at 9am sharp from 4C's Cafe (not sure where that is) you should pass that intersection some time between 9:10 to 9:20 by my reckoning.

Why slab down I-17 (boring) when you can cross over and take the dirt through Cordes/Bumble Bee and into the back side of Black Canyon via Maggie Mine road? It wouldn't take you that much longer and is easily big bike friendly.

Why indeed?! I wasn't privy to that segment's possibilities.

You going to join Klod?

Heading west on 41 bear left where it splits. DK's idea also good. Seven Springs to Blod. Basin. West, to 17. Cross 17, heading west turn left at old Cordes down to Bumble Bee & Maggie mine to BCC. 8 miles south on 17 to Table Mesa, east to Seven Springs & WALA you almost home

You know what... I think I might. If I'm not there though, don't wait up.
