[QUOTE=gefr;23782174]If the bike has been standing for a long time, fuel filters could be clogged, irrespective of miliage.
Cheers.[ Do you have a line on fuel filters? I would like to replace them.
I believe you are right. this bike is four years old with only 3000 mi on it. that equals a lot of sitting around]

And another 990 fuel pump bites the dust. Is there any reason other than cost why it takes so long to get here from Greece?

The normal travelling time is 8 days.

However quite often it adds up to 14 days and it is beyond my powers to give any reassurance. So 14 day is a usual traveling time people can hope for.
Cheers.

Eh? Fuel Pump

Hi I am suspecting a fuel pump problem .
My Bike has stopped when warming it up and I have had another 990 with the fuel pump problem of cutting out and then died on a trip .
We are going on a 2,500km trip in 14 days and would possibly need a pump and filter kit .
Can you help.

My last pm.

Hello there,
Money received all right.
You should have received a notification mail through paypal:
Tracking No: RE413615785GR through ELTA Greek postal service.
Cheers.

PS. 16-06-2014 was scanned in Greek post office. It is too early to reach final destination yet.
Cheers.

I finally got around to installing mine. Easy and appears to function just fine. Somewhat louder during priming at key on than the stocker. Now I just have to decide whether to keep my 20k plus mile stocker as a spare or carry another of these. How hard is it to get the pipe spacer out I wonder?

Anyone have any problems with these now that there are some more out there ?

I would suggest you keep the OEM if working properly.

Just make sure you have a spare oring in case you need to open the fuel pump and cut-damage your oring.
Cheers.

You mean the big one at the base of the housing or is there another one I should be concerned about ?

I mean the smaller from the two orings at the base of the fuel pump assembly.

Cheers
