That's interesting. I may have to send off a test sample to Blackstone and see what they say.

I think I changed mine last @ 2700 miles, so I'll change it again @ 6000 when I do my valves and see what the outcome is.

If Blackstone says to keep running it, I'll go to 5k the next change.

Sad to say I spoke to soon.. The choking issue seemed to have gotten better after removing the plug, but was not gone completely... I decided to give it a week of riding back and forth to work to see if it would go away... Well I report back today with not only did it not go away it has gotten worse.... I went on a 60 or so mile ride today, and throughout the day the bike would stall numerous times when I would pull the clutch to come to a stop... It is bucking around at between 2-3 k rpm under normal riding... A couple of times it almost stalled while trying to throttle in traffic. Also noticed since removing the booster plug, the bike is not as responsive... Has anybody had any similar problems with their terra? Thanks....

I think others have mentioned to head over to Cafe Husky and look into the Moss thread. I think many of us had issues early on...my dealer hooked up the Moss tool and 98% cured my stalling. Every so often ....under the conditions you described....my bike will stumble...and maybe twice the last thousand miles....died. It started right up. I wish it didn't ever do It..but it does.

The bike is probably on the edge tuning wise...pullls like a tractor down low and loves to rev too..(for a single) I figure I'll just learn to live with it now. I love the TR. I did nearly 400 miles yesterday of mixed 2 lane..a little slab...and a lot of East TN back roads.

I have a R1200GS and a Triumph Street Triple followed me home from the dealer Friday. Saturday my brother in law ask me to join him on the ride I mentioned. He rides a multi-Strada ...I "picked" the TR to tag along and didn't regret it one bit.

Before I had the dealer do the Moss thing mine was exactly as you described yours. While not 100% fixed...I can live with mine now no problem. If your dealer isn't schooled on how to use the Moss....find another dealer.
As always...ymmv. My .2cents.

It is finished….the saga has ended.

Reckon there's nothing left to do but go camping!

Hhhmmmm….I see a long trip in my near future.

My Terra had the MOSS treatment and it immediately cured my stalling and bucking problems. However, after several hundred miles of bliss, the stalling anc bucking is coming back. It only happens on a cold, or cool engine when starting out. Once warmed up it goes away and runs fine. I'll have to re-MOSS I suppose. I hope this isn't a recurring problem!

HF, WOW, nice work. You should go into production.

Re the MOSS update, my Strada has run perfectly from day one pulling from idle to the red line strongly.

Nice rack HF.

For those of us with the Motorsportz skid plate, and wanted some more protection, I came up with this:

Here are some hints:

Holy Smokes RE!

Bomb proof.

Don't forget the motor needs some air flowing across it.....I think.

Drill some holes in that thingy.

The rockets are hidden

Done:

New LED lights, tires, bash plate and vinyl wrap.
