it was hard to find. not really advertised. i had no real competition to buy. i'm sure i would have been outbid. i am in love with the bike! my farkle/to do list is 35 items long! so far! it is winter time. please keep comments coming. as the other charlie told me if his bracket failed and the bike was damaged, that would be the least of your worries. skid plate is also out of this world. much bash plate envy in Moab. i do have a bike problem/addiction. i really want the 1190r. plus i love all my bikes and can't part with any of them.

Current rally fan is only for ADV. Im mostly trying to be a funny... , however, if I can manage to create extra forced cooling for the SE I will with the next SE that is coming in for service.

Good results swapping 4's for the 5's but it's more DIY on the shroud mods.

I have been wondering about this too.

Would it be possible to replace the small fans of the SE by the large fans of the ADV? This would not only improve cooling during fan-on but would also improve natural airflow through the radiator during fan-off.

Another idea I have been thinking about is using 2 temperature settings (lets say 100°C and 105°C, but these can be different as you prefer):
- temperature < 100°C => fans off
- 100°C < temperature < 105°C => fans on, switched in series (so both fans operate at 50%)
- temperature > 105°C => fans on, switched in parallel (so both fans operate at 100%)

I am not sure that the added systems complexity is necessary in this application to add variable fan speed operation based upon radiator temperature. In most cases, the issue is not enough cooling, so I would tend to stay more simple with applying more forced flow and perhaps turn the fans on sooner. I have a couple 5" fans here, will need to eyeball the fitment requirements as soon as I get another SE on the lift.

As I recall its already a very tight install with the 4", probably possible to fit the 5", just not sure if I can cut/bend a metal shroud to replace the plastic unit or cut/mod the plastic shroud without it turning out super hacked up....
