Why do i so much like my R1150GSA!
I spent some hours today in the garage for replacing the speedo cable and the Hall Effect Sensor ( has some engine cut recently) of my 8 years old and 115000 km R1150GSA.
As the tank was removed i also spent some time for some checking, just enough to see how much this bike is a good one. Tomorrow i will change the engine oil, as the bike is ready for that, will also change the brake and clutch oils. As the rest has been done less than 5K earlier, i will be ready to riding it for a 10k more and still do not really know why i so much like it, but i really do !

I miss my 1150 GSA badly. Should have never traded it for the 1200. You love it because its a great bike.

My 1150 has 55000 miles on it and love it. I just traded a 1200gs for a Can-am Spyder. I just like the ride best on the 1150.

I've always had one bike and wanted another. Lustful wandering motorcycle eye I guess. Since I got my '04 1150 GSA, I just love it more every time I ride it. It's going to be the one I keep and pass on to my grand kids when I'm too old and decrepite to throw a leg over it any more. Now I just have a lustful wandering farkle eye.
Here's Donk.

I've been loving mine for 10 years and over 100,000 miles with no problems except my heated grip on the left side quit. I test drove the 1200's they just didn't do it for me.

I fell into a deal on mine 2 years ago with only 10,000kms on it. More neglected than abused but the brake lines has been replaced with SS so the PO must have had some clue. Rode it 1300 km to home in freezing temps and have been developing a good relationship (40,000km) with it since.
Only bad thing about it is trying to pick it up when i dumped it on sheet ice twice one morning on the way to work. Had to chase the damn thing across the road with it halfway up my thighs. Tourances suck on ice.

Because it is paid for? Your photo reminds me of my time in the US Navy when we would visit Nice, Cannes, Golfe Juan, Villefranche... |

I had to look at this picture twice--the tail bags and the sign make it look like a headless rider.

Right, wrong or otherwise....we like what we like.
My wife can't figure out why I like motorcycles at all after having had so many broken bones and surgeries from racing....she will NEVER get it. I get it....you like it....I like the 1100s and 1150s. Just keep riding it.
